Shadows fall across the earth
The sun has fallen from the sky
The evening breeze, it softly blows
We lie together, you and I.

Beneath the ocean's churning waves
The sirens sing their cursed song
In the forest, the maiden weeps
For she will never see the dawn.

The sands, they bind the Sultan's ghost
Long dead, forgotten in his tomb
An infant makes a soundless cry
Cut up within his mother's womb.

So close your eyes, my pretty one
And dream, and dream, and dream away
I'll sing you endless lullabies
And watch you sleep til beauty fades.
