she turns the world inside out
every time I see her inside my heart
she snuck in unknown one day
leaving a mess while I was away
she's taken up residence
no way for me to make sense
she slid around between the twists
leaving my head fogged in the mist
no coming back from that
ventured down following the cat
will you let me catch you
under the stars and a moon so blue
lingering briefly in that night
endless and wondering if I might
but something holds you back
fending off sneak attack
will we ever come together
or find ourselves a drift forever
