Snow blossom's Child

Atop flagged steps made of stone
Artistic refuge from cliffs hone
Southern Vashnar's hidden home
The village of Caer Witrin
Along the streets scamper children
Beaming smiles have frosty men
Waving arms of twigs at them
Up in chilly Caer Witrin
Back and forth, twirling gladly
Dark eyes lock on, albeit madly
To her, the poet's heart sings sadly
To the wild girl of Caer Witrin
Poison flower, with ice does glisten
Her tongue slips out, lips to moisten
Though near fatal, she will not listen
The widow of Caer Witrin
Whispers flit upon the way
She can hear what none can say
Laughs and beckoning away
The mad girl of Caer Witrin
No winter's wind nor snow is felt
Her icy heart, no love can melt
Babbling malice is her pelt
Sad outcast of Caer Witrin
She will hear their cries forever
Ties to the spirit paths don't sever
Beware, she is mad but clever
Snowblossom child of Caer Witrin
So If you walk these steps so hewn
Happen upon her in a tavern room
Regard with care, insanity's bloom
Else it too may be your doom
Your obituary on Clotho's loom
Alas, thou hast suffered Caer Witrin
Penned by my hand on the 9th of Scarlatan, in the year 586 AF.
