Sunrise

You do not need to sleep
In order to hope and dream.
A wish is not as weak
As sometimes it may seem.

I have only honest words-
Blunt, simple words-
For you, my heartbroken friend
I want you to understand
That to all pain, there is an end.
Just trust your heart to mend.

When you cry that the world
Is unfair and cold
Remember the sun, how it shines
In its warm light, you will be fine.

The talons of love dug in so deep yo
Your heart from beating
Your tears from falling
But when you break to pieces, just know
We're here for you. You're not alone.

Penned by my hand on the 19th of Phaestian, in the year 583 AF.
