Mourn the Loss

Written by: Nixxe

Newsflash!
From Shallam to Ashtan
word was heard:

A young and promising bard
has thrown himself off a bridge,
having suffered a crushing depression
after reading Nixxe's latest three poems.

At the funeral service was noted:

We mourn for the tragic young life.
Though he left not children nor a wife,
In our thoughts will he reside.
The death we take in stride.

For he was a happy person
and did no wrong
doffing this way and that
kissing every baby
always stopping to chat.

A strong one was the bard,
too many times been scarred.
To lose oneself in poetry
Was his ultimate frailty.

And on the tombstone scribed:

Here lies a dear bard
Poor man tripped
and took a dip
over the bridge,
passed the glen
Never his music
will we hear again.

Penned by my hand on the 10th of Mayan, in the year 582 AF.
