The waves mean life and death to those above
But they bring movement to those deep below
And as I sail, I feel it carry hope
To dreamers floating to some moonlit shores
I stood on beaches in the morning mist
My silken dress was drifting all about
The rhythm of the endless ocean waves
Had struck a chord within a feeble heart
Eternity was drifting in the deeps
Along the sway of kelp on ocean floors
I wish to walk among the coral reefs
And find that haunting melody of seas
I sleep with conches near my ears all night
To hear the whispers from those far off shores
To feel the icy waters on my skin
To find that dream of freedom just once more
Penned by my hand on the 4th of Miraman, in the year 580 AF.
