A Dancing Rhyme

Feel the pitch and feel the tone
feel the lyre's humming bones
sing of fire, melt the gloom
with a rousing dancing tune

Fevered pitch and fevered head
fevered trot of marching dead
soldiers off to challenge fate
know tomorrow cannot wait

Take the Sun and take the rain
take my passion, soul aflame
leave me one warm note alive
in the lovely cool of night

Struggles rise and struggles call
Struggles for the come and fall
Of the nations of the world
Old flags burned and new unfurled

Move your heart and move your feet
Move my music, build the heat
Burn with sound and feel no shame
Fall as water, rise as flame.

Penned by my hand on the 20th of Scarlatan, in the year 573 AF.
