Poetry News Post #3792

We, the wordsmiths.

Written by: Short Hooligan Alasheera Dreamweave

We, the wordsmiths.
Hearken! As we hammer our words into senile servitude.
Enslaving feelings to rhyme and reason,
Proper grammar and correct spelling.
And woe betide those who tread a comma out of line!
Or break the Rhyme!

The ultimate expression of the ultimate emotion.
Too free for our frail, caged hearts and minds,
Bind it we shall, with rule and restriction.
And we shall offer our chained talents to this,
Our glorious monolith,
Our benevolent oppressor,
The poetry board.

Penned by my hand on the 5th of Miraman, in the year 573 AF.
