A sonnet

The Tempest

In a day turned to night, the darkness reigned
As a countenance grimful stare, its' sound;
A warning to all and life truly waned
No shelter, no comfort, no haven found
Like a ruthless king, his hatred renowned
Killing all things with unhindered might
Creature of nature: Bow low to the ground!
It rose to such unmeasureable height
The chance of surviving untouched so slight;
A grumble, a roar, a powerful wrath
This awesome prescence extinguished all light,
Destroying whatever moved in it's path!

So dazzling is this, in the rainbow's hue
Rolling thunderstorm, bringing life anew

Penned by my hand on the 4th of Valnuary, in the year 254 AF.
