Ode to a Drunken Imp
By Torpen

There was an Imp who would not sup
But only would drain his cup.
One day something indeed was amiss.
For he died and did meet Sarapis.
He begged and begged for life again.
And when awoke did fill his cup with gin.

Again he met the mighty god.
Yes this imp was mighty odd.
He called Sarapis to drink.
And the Logos replied, "Imp do you not think?"
He gave him life again indeed.
To see if a thought would grow like a seed.

Alas again did the Imp take his cup.
And after this did Sarapis say, "Enough!"
Cursed forever sober yes he would stay.
And so he remains to this very day.
So in anger and spite he did a bad deed.
He bountied the pixie who refused his seed.

Penned by my hand on the 22nd of Valnuary, in the year 249 AF.
