my poem

Ok I have a little poem, and so I am going to try my hand on this board 😉 Other people have written various poems about various subjects, but mine delves into a deeper subject matter: Plaid...It does go a bit OOC, as it was not written solely for this purpose. I hope forgive this, and enjoy the poem.
I love the pattern we call plaid,
It's so cool it drives me mad.
Call it tartan, call it checked,
It's known to raise your intellect.
This may seem weird, but that's okay,
'Cuz I wear plaidness every day.
It's so cool it makes me say,
"I wish you'd wear more plaid"

I love the pattern we call plaid,
When I don't wear it I get sad.
It's really wild, it's more complex
Than stuff designed by architects.
It looks quite good in black and red
And it gets stuck inside my head.
So I'm inclined to say with Ted'
"You ought to wear more plaid"

I love the pattern we call plaid,
I draw it using turbo CAD.
So many hues for me to choose,
I even wear it on my shoes.
If you say plaidness really stinks,
I'd bet that you've had too many drinks.
"Forsooth" quoth I. "Egads, methinks
Thou lookest good in plaid."

I love the pattern we call plaid,
Yes I'm obsessed, but just a tad.
More cool than argyle, sure beats stripes,
So great it makes me yell out "Cripes!"
The world would be a better place
And not so much of a disgrace
If the entire human race
Would wear a bit more plaid.

I love the pattern we call plaid
When I feel down it makes me glad.
Especially in green or blue.
And say, I like it purple too!
Upon my mind there is a stain
Of plaid; it's driven me insane
And I have plaid where you have brain
Unless you too love plaid.

[CI lovethe pattern we call plaid,
Which is most excellent and rac.
'Cuz it is seen on Scottish kilts
And pants of clowns who walk on stilts
And boxer shorts and polo shirts
And girls' school uniforms and skirts.
Do you know what? It really hurts
When you're not wearing plaid.

I love the pattern we call plaid
It's spiffy-keen; it's not half bad.
But that's enough, for goodness sakes,
For writing this gives me headaches.
I'll stop plaid praising for the day,
Put down my quill and go away,
But not until to you I say,
"I love you most in plaid"

Well thats the whole lot.....hope you enjoy it, and excuse any mistakes as I could never post well anyway 😉
