Beyond Redemption

Written by: Cetus Rhazine, Disciple of Thoth

Addressed to: Everyone

The darkness comforts me, moves me softly
Caressing me with hatred and fear
Deep within my soul I scream
With the agony of losing faith
The devil calls me, taunts me, takes me
I am his, there be no escape
He whispers in my ear, commands me
T' do but things that I should not do
Chain me, bind me, hold me, trap me
Do not let that black fiend touch me
My soul is gone, yet salvation awaits
For all are saved, in heav'n above
Blind I was, for when he whispered
Hatred and anger in mine ear
I listened then, and damned myself there
Cursed for that, for time eternal
I wander alone, in Purgatory's halls
Waiting for forgiveness, though none shalt come
I am alone, abandoned, for He nay claims me
My soul be blackened beyond redemption,
And never shall it see the light

My first (and possibly last) serious poem. I hope you enjoyed it.

In death
Cetus Rhazine
Disciple of Thoth

Penned by my hand on the 14th of Scarlatan, in the year 249 AF.
