As morning breaks over ravaged lands
It's crushed 'neath Armageddon's hand
No cricket chirps on bloodstained sand
No bird is singing in the land.

The animals died, by two, by two
The Reaper's pride, by two, by two
Armageddon sighed... by two... by two....

Hubble is safe, lucky is Mir,
All that is left that us humans held dear.
No time for redemption we should have sought long ago
Our evil prevented Armageddon's overthrow.
