The tormented cries of Slith rang throughout Sapience. Sitting in the
Garden of the Gods, the Lady Demeter had a sudden vision of clarity. The
location of the other half of the amulet lie buried still within Cyrene.
Upon arriving in the city, She called all its citizens to Her and, in a
rage, demanded that they allow Her to collect the last piece of the
amulet. No one dared speak as green lightning forked the sky over
Cyrene, forming in a ball atop the Lady's head. With a cry, the Lady
commanded the lightning to slam into the bridge at Her feet, destroying
it and creating a hole in the ground.
Kneeling, She clawed at the ground, desperate for the amulet. Heph and
Daare aided in te endeavor and shortly, the second half of the amulet
was in the Lady's possession. Calming slightly, She looked about Herself
at the damage. Focusing Her will, the damage was repaired in a gesture
of thanks.
Lord Twilight had His half of the amulet in the Darkenwood and attempted
to banish the undead from the forest. His efforts were successful, save
for the Arachnoi Queen Ishtishia. Demeter joined Him, and through a
collective effort of darkfire and silver mist, the Queen was freed from
her undead bondage.
Deciding to rally His troops to war, Twilight trusted His half of the
amulet to Demeter, in the hopes that those of the Green Lady's Order
could find the clues hidden with it. The Darkenwood does not continue to
decay, but its damage must be repaired. It is yet to be seen what
collective power the two halfs of the ancient amulet contain when used
in tandem.
Penned by my hand on the 23rd of Daedalan, in the year 326 AF.
