Birth of a Goddess, Departure of a God

The Eileithyian Tree, created by the melding of the essence of Eris,
Goddess of Chaos, and Aegis, God of War, blossomed with twins, a boy and
a girl, each encased in a golden globe. But an unknown entity entered
the realm from a slash across the sky, killed the thing of chaos that
was protecting the twins, and stole the boy god. Later, the corpse of
the thing of chaos rose from the dead, an unwholesome and terrible
abomination, ravaging the land. A party of mortals put an end to this
abomination with Rick Stormcrow giving the killing blow. Aegis, mad with
grief, lashed out against Mhaldor in a vengeful search for his son,
while Eris, saddened and distraught, visited her unborn daughter
frequently and her tears manifested as multi-coloured rain that fell
from the heavens.
When the Eileithyian tree finally offered up their daughter, Aegis and
Eris were full of joy, lifting up into the heavens and naming her
Pandora. But this day of happiness quickly turned to tragedy as the sky
slashed open again and the entity tried to steal the newlyborn goddess.
Lorielan recognized this creature from the times of the War of Humanity
as the one-time ally of the Triumvirate--no less than Slith, deposed
prince of the undead. Aegis, in a rage, flew after Prince Slith to
rescue his son and avenge the crime. Fleeing from the angry God of War,
Prince Slith retreated back into the void, followed by Aegis wielding
his sword and his wrath. But the slash in the sky, a rift between the
worlds, closed behind them, sealing them away.
Stunned, Eris remained behind, still holding her newborn daughter, the
joy of motherhood turned bitter as her husband has left her side and the
realm to seek vengeance and reclaim their lost son.
