An Argument As Old As Time (Almost)

For as long as any can remember an argument has been hashed out in the Garden of the Gods.
Somewhat in jest, but with teeth bared by both sides, the Lady Lorielan and the Lord of Darkness contest over the nature of Divinity and the Tribunal's decision, many eons ago.
~~~
As Nissa's Worlds' Fair drew to a close the Two watched with interest the final debate between the Sophists of Ashtan and Targossas' Advocates as they stumbled over a dangerous topic: the fate of Khalas, so close to the same contention between the Gods Themselves.
In a moment of surprise, the judge of the debate reached a decision. Purely academic for certain, but could she be the judge needed to settle the conflict of Jade and Shade?
It was an opportunity that could not be wasted.
Interrupting Nissa's announcement of the mortal debate's winner, the quarrelling Gods appeared before the gathered crowd, demanding the attention of all as They decided upon terms, judges, positions and stated the question at hand: Should the Jade Empress suffer banishment by the Tribunal for the crimes of the Triumvirate?
Lord Twilight was to take the opposition and argue for leniency in His fashion, while the Empress Herself would argue for Her own punishment.
Ignoring the traditional strictures of time as a matter most mundane and one for mortals alone, The Gods proposed, opposed, insulted, disdained, proclaimed heresy by any other mouth, and rebutted.
The crowd stood agape, most afraid to move or question as the argument raged, until finally it concluded and the Lord and Lady turned to Nissa and Han-Tolneth in expectation of a ruling.
Who would win? Could they dare rule on such a matter?
It turns out that they could not. Fear of being ushered from this mortal coil earlier than they had hoped quelled the tongues of the two judges.
Unsatisfied, but at least uninsulted, the Gods returned to Their Garden home. Their argument remains unresolved, and the debate continues, perhaps for eons to come...
Summary:
Lord Twilight and Lady Lorielan appeared at the end of the Worlds' Fair debates to debate one another over a most loaded subject. Nissa was unable to offer judgement for the resolution, but if you want to read the entire account, head to www.achaea.com/2019/07/19/jade-vs-shade/ !
