Slowly, Kallion paced about the reception hall of Dun Fortress. "Finally," he thought. "Finally, it is mine." He had been preparing for this moment for a long time. Ever since his mother had told stories of the Dun Valley Saga, he had known that Vukub Ysin'zhu had no right to the barony. It was his duty - no, his purpose - to bring noble blood back into the tainted fortress.
Kallion announced his intent to the entirety of Sapience, and adventurers quickly flooded to his location. Those that had aided the fortress in finding the culprit, Antonius and Ahmet, were the first to arrive, followed quickly by Tzond Al-Quam, Ryuke Siorraiocht, Leinad and Elaina Etienne, and Delphinus Windancer.
Instantly, they thrust their questions at Kallion. What right did he have to the barony? Did he think that the orcs and ogres would fall in line, after he cruelly murdered their leader? To this, Kallion scoffed.
"It is none of your business, outsiders." He retorted.
As the tension grew, the gathered crowd began bickering amongst themselves. Those of the Light argued against those of Chaos, and soon all attention had moved from the Tsol'aa.
Suddenly, Balam Agab spoke.
"You no orc. You no ogre. You not us." He stated.
Kallion laughed, staring at the ogre with disdain. "Ah, but I am better suited to lead."
Balam peered at the Tsol'aa, dumbfounded. "No welcome. Go! Or I make!
"I'd like to see you try," Kallion scoffed, sneering at the archmage.
Balam immediately lunged toward the Tsol'aa, and together with the ogre knight brought Kallion to the ground, lifeless.
The group were silent and approving, their eyes intent upon the archmage.
Once more, Balam spoke. "We thank for help. Go. We do much."
As the adventurers began to disperse, one question posed on each of their minds. Without Vukub Ysin'zhu, or indeed Kallion, who would rule the barony?
Penned by My hand on the 18th of Miraman, in the year 642 AF.
