On a crisp autumn morning in the year 633, Lady Kitarel Ar'kena stood watching the sun rise over the city of Hashan. The Citadel of Prosperity loomed overhead, silhouetted against the bright heavens, and as she squinted at the highest parapet she was joined by one merchant, then another, until a great crowd was gathered upon Epitine Circle.
With a resolute nod, the leader of Hashan's merchant house beckoned to her peers, and together they took the first of many steps that would lead them away from the Crown of the Ithmia, and south to Delos. There, within a vibrant new marketplace upon the banks of the Zaphar River, a new future immediately began to take shape. Fully embracing their independence, and espousing the principles of mercantilism and diversity, the house found itself transformed.
The Merchants of the Crown are no more. Welcome to the Grand Merchant Collective!
