Empire, begun long ago by the historian Tancred Lasalle, continued by
his nephews Josiah and Orson Lasalle, and completed by Lara, Keeper of
the Scrolls. Its pages tell of the rebellion of the Sapient League, the
fall of the greatest empire known to history, and the sundering of a
continent, all precipitated by the mysterious Man in Grey.

Scholars will find the completed work shelved in numerous libraries,
chiefly among them the Lucretian Athenaeum in New Thera.
