For countless centuries the Holy Church of Achaea has stood as an
institution upon Sapience, with the Chrysalis Basilica as a symbol of
its enduring influence.

In recent years, the Church and the city of Shallam have often mirrored
one another in the upholding of various ideals in opposition to Evil,
Darkness, and Chaos. Thus it seemed an inevitability that one day, these
two organisations would merge. And so it happened that, in the spring of
568, the founder of the Holy Church would also proclaim its passing.

In her address, Imithia, great-great-great-granddaughter of revered
Pasiphae, told of a vision bestowed upon her long ago. Passionately she
described her foresight of the growth of the Holy Church and the spread
of its influence over the land, all of which has come to pass. But
Imithia also told of a time of great transformation, when the Church and
all those who upheld its ideals would be unified as one.

And as the Gods of the Te'Serra - Pentharian, Miramar, Lorielan, and
Mithraea - gathered to witness this prophecy's fulfillment, the world
saw the city of Shallam forever transformed by Divine will.

Behold a new era of unity for the devotees of Light, Order, and Good!
For the forces of the Jewel of the East and the Holy Church have come
together as a stronger Shallam, whose Caliph now stands as caretaker of
the holy power of Devotion.
