As the conflict between the Tritons and Arcadians grew, so did the need
for Arcadia to inflate its numbers. Atoritha called for leaders of the
city-states to come forth and speak to her about an alliance. Sir
Cooper, then-Viceroy of Mhaldor, came first to hear her words against
the Tritons. She received only an impassive response, as the delegate
promised to bring news and nothing more to the isle of crimson fog.
Next came delegates from both Shallam and Cyrene, led by the Sultan
Silas and Senator Aikou. With blank faces they inquired craftily into
the conflict of Arcadians and Tritons. Alongside them was Entaro,
listening on behalf of both the Eleusians and the order of Neraeos
before he was cast out as a spy, but not before denouncing her words as
filth and lies. Shallam and Cyrene left undecided, promising also to
speak to their people.
Slowly Arcadia come to the realisation, as it reached out to various
cities, villages and towns, that to oppose a faction as large as the
Tritons without any real indication of their impending attack was as
farfetched as the hope of mercy from stepping on the tail of Chenubis.
As of yet, Arcadia still stands with no formal allies against a
ominously quiet sea. But things are not quite as dark for Arcadia as
they could have been. Atoritha found hope with several individuals, such
as Asmodron and Tharvis, who travelled through the world, from Ulangi to
the Aalen forest, trying to recruit those who would stand against the
coral blades of the Tritons.
