Ships!

A month later found the commissioners of the first five ships awaiting
at the harbour in Tasur'ke with eager anticipation. Delphinus and
Riashain were there, and on behalf of the Order of Neraeos, who had
commissioned three ships, Revelation Azon and Asara Eslofe. (Verrucht
Dawyn would arrive later to command the third ship of the Order's
fleet.)
When at last the ships were pronounced complete, Delphinus dubbed his
ship "The Queen Himalia", in honour of the enigmatic woman he had
fleetingly seen the month before. Riashain named his ship "The Kraken's
Maw". The ships of the Order of Neraeos were given the names "The
Aristeia", "The Aeolos", and "The Maelstrom". Hiring crewmates at the
harbour for their ships, one by one the ships left the harbour for
destinations unknown.
The Queen Himalia was the first to depart the harbour, followed by The
Kraken's Maw. Heading to the south, the Queen Himalia was soon
surrounded by naught but the endless blue of ocean on all sides. With
their captain as Delphinus, the passengers were Jaizsur, Tiax, Kaise,
Kriby, Misty, and Istiria. For days they sailed, adrift from all they
had previously known, until finally the Queen Himalia sighted unfamiliar
land! A vast island far southeast from the Ulangi Isles -- they had
landed on the island of Zanzibaar!
The Kraken's Maw sailed south also, landing first in Mysia before
heading further west to land on Zanzibaar also. The Aristeia, captained
by Asara, sailed far north from Tasur'ke and nearly found itself
surrounded by turbulent waters before changing course southwards. Long
they travelled, rounding the southern tip of the continent of Sapience,
and far to the west they discovered a small, seemingly uninhabited
island named Tapoa, teeming with dangerous creatures. The crew of the
Aristeia at the time of the discovery of Tapoa consisted of Asara,
Trevize, Inuad, Genwin, and Arica.
Gnaash, having taken over command of the Aeolos from Revelation, took
his ship even further south than Zanzibaar, and after much fruitless
sailing, he and his crew - Caz and Caleth - found the island of Zaphar
Isle. Meanwhile, the third ship in the Neraian fleet, The Maelstrom,
travelled far to the northeast and came upon a strange island called
Clockwork Isle, seemingly inhabited entirely by bizarre mechanical
denizens. Captained by Verrucht, the crew of The Maelstrom at the time
consisted of Arietta and Schisstae.
Even as this scribe writes, the five ships continue to sail across the
oceans, from island to island, the brave explorers charting their
travels and seeking new lands. Surely this marks the beginning of
another age - the age of ships in Achaea.
