The following is a true and accurate account of a recent episode in Xianty's life, penned by the Celani Sebat.
There is a saying which states that 'no good deed goes unpunished'. This
was never more true than quite recently upon the streets of Shallam and the
realm of the Netherworld. Xianty Caritas, a devout servant of Lord Oneiros,
was to finally feel the wrath of the Darker and more Evil worlds.
The sky itself gave the first clues to the wrath that was to unfold upon
Xianty. As the clouds darkened, and lightning began to flail the ground,
the cries of helpless mortals were heard throughout the continent. Small
children were heard screaming, fear evident in their cries. Then, with a
sudden burst of power, the skies over Shallam erupted and spewed forth the
form of Azmodai, a minion hatred for Xianty and all things Peace.
As one may be able to infer, there was no resistance from Xianty. Whilst he
was carried into the Netherworld, the residents of Shallam faught against
outsiders who sought information regarding Xianty's ordeal. Zero, along
with various others of his battle sect, chided the Shallamites for fighting
against mortals when there was obviously a much higher power at work during
that time.
Xianty was led as a lamb to the slaughter for days upon end. His soul
unable to return from the alternate realm, he was left helpless in the hands
of Azmodai. His deaths were numerous, though the Almighty Logos continued
to see fit for his return to the Realm of the living. Eventually, a part of
Xianty broke free. It was not, however, a part that any had seen before.
This part was simply Evil. Xian, a direct decendant from Xianty's own
being, broke free into this Realm and began an assault upon Sapience that
brought death in nearly as bloody a fashion as Death's Heart itself.
Countless mortals were slain, some time and time again as they battled to
defeat Xian.
Finally, after nearly more carnage than Sapience had ever been witness to,
the death blow was cast and Xian was slain. That, however, was not enough
to return Xianty to his home. Sharbrena, the Cleric of Darkness. intoned
that she may perhaps have some vital information, and would give it for the
right price. The haggling ensued, and a price was finally agreed upon. A
contract was signed, with the demans of which unknown at this time.
Sharbrena gave clue to the demands for Xianty's return. She stated that
there were pages from the Book of Peace scattered throughout the land, and
that they must be collected for Xianty's return.
Xianty was returned to the realm by Azoun, but it was shown that he had been
driven mad. The demons had posessed his soul so deep that he had to be
frozen by the Divine in order to avoid being returned to the Netherworld.
Eventually, all pages from the Book of Peace were reclaimed, and Xianty was
returned to the realm. It took nearly 6 Achaean months for all events to
transpire, but the faith and hard work of Xianty's friends proved enough to
overcome the powers that had been inflicted upon him.
