April's Bardic and Artisanal contest winners are up! You can see them at:
www.achaea.com/history/bardic/index.html.
Bardic:
1st Place:
Sansonett, for an excellent story.
Runner's Up:
Navi for her story of an orc scout.
Thakren for his funny tale of Meithos the hapless Imp.
Eternus for his story that is basically a nice travelogue of Ashtan.
Merit Awards:
Mulkerrin for his story of a chess game made dramatic.
Rall, for a very well-thought-out auto-biography.
Artist:
1st Place:
Esque, for a really well-done drawing of Vellis.
Runner's Up:
Dream, for a portrait of Twilight.
Abreva, for a sketch of one of Achaea's orphans.
Merit Awards:
Elsp, for an interesting picture of a Sentinel family.
Niggurath, for his grand depiction of a baptism of fire by Twilight.
A couple comments: There were a couple other artist entries that were received that were pretty good, but were rejected because either a) We recognized them as being hand-copied off another source or b) There wasn't really anything Achaea-specific about them.
Those of you submitting entries, please understand that you are _not_ allowed to plagiarize anything, whether it be art or literature. Simply copying a drawing IS plagiarism. If you add nothing substantive to a piece of art, or do not change it in some substantive way, the you've ripped it off, and we're not into that.
Penned by my hand on the 3rd of Ero, in the year 276 AF.
