In response to a nearly unanimous call by the Elders to crack down on the epidemic of ridiculous shouting, perpetuated by a handful of people (who, not surprisingly, are nearly all fairly young irl), the Gods will be simply removing rolepoints not only for out of character shouts, but for shouts that clearly serve no purpose but to be silly and entertain the handful of people who enjoy them.

I'm not going to name names here, but I'm pretty sure most people know who the worst offenders are (and I can think of about 5 people who seem to account for probably 50% of ridiculous, spammy shouts), and it is hoped that once these people are unable to shout, shouts might actually become useful, rather than a forum for a few people to spam the rest of us with crap.
