The reason for the downtime today was because our ISP took it upon themselves to fix our buggy network interface card (which is responsible for the network problems we've had over the past couple weeks) without telling me they were going to do so. They don't seem to understand that unlike a website, you can't just shut down a server running a mud (well, you can, but you shouldn't.) In any case, they claim it is fixed now.

We will soon be moving ISPs.
