If taking over the world isn't quite your thing, you can liberate areas! A successful liberation will result in the area returning to its normal state, no territorial claim over it at all. If you wish to challenge someone's held area to take it for yourself, get your beacon and refer to HELP CONQUEST.

To liberate an area:

Work out when the occupying force's Eidolic Phase is, you need to operate in this time span.

Find a defensible spot in the area and SANCTION LIBERATION, once the sanction is in place (this takes about 5 minutes) you will be need to ACTIVATE a TANK from your city's reserves.

You will need a fully prepared tank in your reserves.

The location of your tank will be on SURVEY.

Your goal is to defend and charge this tank to level one and then detonate it to break the occupation before your sanction ends (it will last 100 mins)!

Your tank can be disarmed and captured.

Disarm, capture, or successful detonation of a tank will end the liberation attempt.
The Eidolic Phase ending will also end a liberation attempt.

Certain quests in heavily populated areas may make your liberation attempt easier.

Fighting in an area with a liberation sanction active will not generate infamy.
