Today marks a big day for Achaea's cities as we roll out a big change to ministries!
TL;DR: we are reducing the 10 existing city ministries to 5 ministries!
Ambassador - remains the same
Ministry of Culture - remains the same
Ministry of the Interior - combines Chancellor, Development, and Trade
Ministry of Defence - combines Security, War, and Maritime
A single Admiral will be appointed, this person remains in charge of the City fleet and harbour, but will utilise Defence funds.
Treasurer - combines Steward and Treasurer
City appointments have long been a revolving door of struggle for many of our cities, as needing nearly 20 active people to manage the running of the city has become something of a struggle for six city states. So we have been working on downsizing the number of ministries, and working on updating the tools these ministers have in order to more easily fill the role of Minister.
- The Ambassador role is remaining the same, these are in charge of newcomers (old and young) to the city, and the City Guides.
- The Ministry of Culture is remaining the same, in charge of city cultural events and arena management.
- The Treasurer is a single person role and is taking over Steward and Treasurer duties, with much streamlining.
The Ministry of the Interior is combining Chancellor, Development, and Trade roles, with enhanced reporting to be able to better see the details of their charges.
The Ministry of Defence combines Security, War, and oversees the Admiral (who pulls from Defence coffers for fleet costs.)
City Leaders - what you need to do now.
- Re-appoint your ministers where needed (Interior, Defence, and Treasurer)
Culture will remain Culture minister, Ambassador will remain Ambassador, existing Maritime Minister will be appointed Admiral automatically.
City Leaders - what to do later.
- Reconfigure salaries if you want to use these, they were reset with this change.
- CHELP permissions for ministry specific helps will need to be re-assigned
M1 means ambassador ministry only can see.
M2 is culture ministry.
M3 is interior ministry.
M4 is defence ministry.
M5 is finance ministry.
- Check any position specific interactions with doors, buildings, items, and use patronage request to make any changes needed to these.
- Chase your Ministers to get their aides sorted out as all of these will have been removed.
