Historically, the Championship Games is an event you could only win once. During a long discussion we just had someone raised the very valid point that doing something just because we've always done it that way is not in fact sensible, so we've just talked over the pros and cons of this limitation.

As a result, this restriction no longer exists. You can not win the Championship Games back to back, but past staff holders are otherwise free to make a bid for the Staff of Nicator going forward outside of that limitation.
