Throughout this month, ARROWS are available for purchase!
Arrows can be obtained in singles or in batches, and allow you to SHOOT <player> WITH LOVE.
Purchasing an arrow also awards a free talisman cache that opens for the new WAR set, this is in addition to any prizes won by shooting the arrow. See below for details!
At the following Serenade, Eros will arrive to reward those who so freely share their love with one or more giftboxes based on the number of arrows shot!
NOTE: IT IS THE SHOOTER OF THE ARROWS WHO GETS THESE GIFTBOXES, NOT THE PERSON SHOT.
If you do not wish to wait for the Serenade you may BESEECH EROS to claim your rewards for the day early. You may do this as many times per day as you like, though it will reset your counts each time.
Although your counts are reset, you'll still be credited for all arrows shot that day when it comes to the awarding of rewards at the turn of the new day for the most arrows shot.
For example, if you shoot 24 arrows and then claim, you'll get four silver and four red boxes. If you then shoot another arrow and claim, you'll get another red one rather than gold, as your rewards are now reset. If you're going to claim manually, you'll want to shoot up to the maximum you plan on getting for the day first!
Giftboxes come in three different tiers: red, silver, and gold and contain a variety of prizes!
- GOLD tier giftboxes consume 25 of your arrow total each (provided you have shot at least 25 arrows). Their contents will be worth at least 750 credits.
- SILVER tier giftboxes consume 5 of your arrow total each (provided you have shot at least 5 arrows). Their contents will be worth at least 250 credits.
- RED tier giftboxes consume 1 of your arrow total each (provided you have shot at least 1 person). Their contents will be worth at least 30 credits.
For example:
Makarios has shot 24 people with arrows.
At the next Serenade (or when he next BESEECHes) Eros will visit Makarios and deliver four silver giftboxes (-20 arrows) and four red giftboxes (-4 arrows), resetting his arrows shot total to 0 to begin the next 24 hour period.
PROMO_ARROWS will show you how many arrows you have shot and how many arrows you have remaining to shoot!
Every day the character that has shot the most will also get 25 bound credits.
Every day the character that has been hit by the most unique players the most will get 25 bound credits.
In the case of a tie we will split the 25 credits between the winners.
The War Talisman Set contains the following 6 items:
A portly pigeon (pigeon)
You may FARSCOUT <target> to send your pigeon off to find that person if they are on the same plane as you, revealing everyone visible in their local area.
This has a three minute cooldown.
Some rotting remains (rottingremains)
Scatter these remains upon the ground and all people in the current location will be periodically afflicted with either dementia or nausea.
You can SCRUB REMAINS to immediately remove them, and they will tick around 15 times before rotting away.
Scrubbing or rotting away puts them on cooldown for five minutes, at which time they will return to the owner.
A gilded bit (gildedbit)
Attach this bit to a mount and it will function as both a collar of lupus and convey the ORDER MOUNT GO RAID <city> command.
This command will take you to a city that your city is at war with and drop you in a random room without guards.
People do not follow you through this action, and it requires you be at maximum hp and close to full mana to initiate.
Note that this functionality requires you be a member of a city for it to function, as rogues can not currently be at official war.
An observant sigil (observantsigil)
Possessing this sigil will inform you of the location from which someone is stationing guards in your local area.
A dense cloud of war (warcloud)
Loose this cloud upon a location and it shall function as temporary fog, like that caused by weather.
Lasts three minutes.
A collapsible hoop (portalhoop)
This hoop will allow you to open a gateway to another player.
This gateway is two-way, and lasts one minute.
Opening a gateway takes six seconds, and is stopped by a monolith sigil.
To do so, simply DEPLOY HOOP <person>.
Upon use, the hoop will disappear, reforming after twenty minutes.
War talismans are all valued at 80cr, and the pieces will tradein for 10 bound cr.
War talisman pieces are also gained this month by completing medium and hard adventures.
Finally, the Death talisman set is now in the Delos talisman shop!
Arm yourself for the month of February, express your love for your lovers, shoot your foes in the face, with love, for prizes! Head to www.achaea.com/credits to get your arrows today!
