Wow!

That's all I've got to sum up the Year 750 Twins Tournament! What a show!

Tesha and Farrah made the crowd wince and wonder when they suffered an early defeat to Shirszae and Keorin, but they were saved by the machinations of double elimination. Cyrene's mustering stuck it out and took fifth place!

Staring down the top four teams we had two pairs of undefeated combatants: Cooper and Proficy and Atalkez and Achilles! We pit these monsters against one another to determine who would be faced in the finals whilst Farrah and Tesha knocked out Zackery and Taryius, forcing the duo to accept fourth place while they awaited the results of the peerless pairings!

Cooper and Proficy bested Atalkez and Achilles, but being double elimination the losers survived to fight another day and were set against their Targossan cohorts. In a noble display the gentlemen forfeited their fight, taking third position for themselves while the ladies of Good moved on to the finale!

Tesha and Farrah held one loss, it would take one more to knock them out. Proficy and Cooper remained undefeated, requiring two losses to force them to give up top spot. The first fight was swift, by means of a door, Tesha and Farrah dispatched the Evil duo. At the staging grounds both pairs stood toe to toe, each holding a loss apiece, this final fight the decider.

It took a while before anyone moved, but once they did it was soon over, Proficy and Cooper victorious over Tesha and Farrah, claiming first place for themselves and resigning the Targossian ladies to second.

A massive congratulations goes out to all the contenders: Peak pairing up with Titonus for a last minute team, Nahzik and Irimon playing spoiler in the lower ranks, and everyone else, there were really too many great moments to mention!

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, at this point the Quiz is a mere formality to satisfy the records of history. Tesha cannot be beaten in her quest for the Staff of Nicator! But you'll have to wait for the Awards Ceremony to see it in her hands!
