I've changed some of the routines we use internally when manipulating different formats of the time of day. These new routines should be functionally equivalent, but are much more optimized.

You should not actually notice any differences with this change, but I'm announcing it so that if you do notice any oddities with the display or calculation of time, please let me know so that I can get it fixed up ASAP.
