Bear in mind also that there are very few items in the land at the moment, and items that will help to balance things out have not yet been perfected either in the minds of Sarapis and Daedalus or upon my forge.

For instance, there is no armour, rings of protection or the like yet!

Also not many people are learning anything save for Guild Skills - so you should expect to be taken large amounts of damage from people, since your defences are all rather minimal!
