Two things:

CONFIG DECAYMESSAGES [on|off]
If you turn this off, you will no longer get message when items in your inventory decays.

CONFIG AUTODOORS [on|off]
If you turn this on, you will automatically unlock and open doors as you move around. This will not work on doors connected to stockrooms. It does not close or lock doors as you pass through them.
