A few words on parting

You have given me such a gift, such a Weave, for the Weaver!
I would like to return the favour yet again with a few words,
as has been my wont lo! these many days.
Remember that YOU are the Weaver, each of you, as you are truly
human, truly alive, truly acting, living as the Yiddisch puts it
as a "Mensch" - a true person. Many of you have been heavily
involved already in the Weave. Carry on.
A few little sayings I've either used recently, or in a few cases
crafted for this occasion. I hope they help too:
- The best things in life aren't things
- Do what needs doing, even if it's not your job
- You can attach your affections to almost anything - so be careful what
you pick
- He is no king, nor great one, who must remind others of the fact
- Swearing has intensity without power, like lightning which, though
very powerful, accomplishes little and destroys much. Choose words
with both intensity _and_ power and delight in what they accomplish
- Respect and kindess to all, great or small, no thought of reward
- Retribution without anger, forgiveness without memory.
Grace in speech, elegance in delivery, joy in words!
Don't forget to snuke every now and then. That, I leave you especially.
And to keep things interesting: comfort the afflicted and afflict the
comforted.
I will be out there somewhere, and a few of you will remember. I am getting near to being an old man, and I can assure you I will always remember. I've had five years with my adopted sons at home, thanks to Achaea - thanks to all of you - in a time when they really needed me.
May the true God return to you the kindness. As the Psalmist wrote:
Kiss the Son, . . . Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
What blessings I can give, I give you - menschlichkeit, life, love,
forebearance, respect, meaning, and true connectedness.
Penned by My hand on the 14th of Valnuary, in the year 488 AF.
