recent steps towards Seafaring

Ships have been ownable by organisations for some time,
but now the features of that ownership have been expanded
clarified and to some degree codified.
A new order power "fleetcommand" is now available for
Divine Patrons to bestow on one or more of those of
their followers they deem worthy. Those with the power
will be able to act upon order-owned vessels as though
they were owners, permitting them to define who is
able to be a passenger, on crew, or captain, and other
similar matters.
SHIP LIST CAPTAINOK will show those ships you are able
to become captain of via SHIP ASSUME COMMAND or the
like.
SHIP ORGLIST will show the list of your org's ships
to any member.
Ships with the Beacon of Iocolas (see the various
helps under HELP 23, especially HELP 23.12, for
more details), will be identified very clearly as
to their location.
Various problems with transferring or assuming command
have also been ironed out of late.
Of course other goodies, like the Cartographer's Desk
or the ship maps that go into them to allow you to
use the BEARINGS ability to detect direction and
distance of mapped location - all of those have been
present for some time, although only announced and
discussed privately within the exclusive clan of
Seafarers.
Deep sea diving is next on the agenda, along with
the use of Astrolabes and/or Sextants.
Penned by my hand on the 1st of Phaestian, in the year 476 AF.
