MESSAGES and PRESERVING and watching your messages GO AWAY FOREVER!

Some time ago we changed around messaging. We announced it, and
explained it, and gave you a nice, shiny new help scroll in
HELP MESSAGING.
In that scroll is a section that tells you about preserving your
messages. It says that any message over 30 Achaean months old is
subject to decay, unless you preserve the message.
Apparently some didn't know this, even though it's in the help,
and we announced it before. We're sorry if we haven't told you,
or warned you, clearly enough before. Now, hopefully, this will be
good enough!
Any and all messages 30 Achaean months old, or older, may decay
at any time. They may last longer - even a lot longer, or they may
not. Either way, please, preserve what's important to you or,
if you really want to help, copy and paste 'em to anywhere else!
GMAIL - google's free mail service - provides at least two gigabytes
of free storage. There are plenty of other places that do the same.
We know you want Achaea to go faster. We do too. We're not at all
sure of all the things that slow Achaea down, but we do know that
MORE messages will certainly be slower than LESS messages! So if
you can, please, get rid of (or copy away) things you don't really
need to keep here.
I get 50-75 messages each RL day. I handle them all. And yet,
right now, I have 14 total messages. I didn't even go make a
special cleaning run to make the numbers look better for this
post!
Sure, some of you have a higher message flow than that, and that's
fine. Just do what you can to be careful and we'll all likely
be better off.
