I already put some of this on forums, but not here, so here goes!

We have traced the lag/Aeonic disturbances fairly conclusively
to the way our new HSP set up our disk storage - namely, adding
a SAN as part of the mix. Now we've worked out a change that
should bring things back to the way they were.

Look for more news as we have it. For now, we know what's wrong,
and we know how to fix it. It's coming fairly soon, though it
will probably involve a bit of dislocation as we move.
(Nowhere near the downtime we experienced recently for the last
move!)

(And yes, we still don't understand why getting rid of all those
messages has helped quite so much, but it has! Thank you, and
please keep it up. We're down over a quarter of a million msgs!)
