Rogue Groves Knuckle Under!

After receiving the request of their imprinters to send thorny vines
against all enemies, some had refused to return to dormancy after
tasting of the excitement of semi-conscious life. Forces loyal to nature
have brought these rogue groves in line after tense negotiations, so
that now they will endure no longer than the proper time.


Rambunctious Adduction vibes settle down!

In some cases, Adduction vibes had been found to override even the
protection of grove roots. No longer.


Behave, Beckon!
---------------
Angel/Demon beckon had long failed to behave when faced with an
adventurer hindered by icy ground, grave hands, banana peels, piety,
stun, and the like.


Faugh, Ferrymen!

Ferrymen* will no longer take you to your destination at a time that is
faster than normal, nor allow people on board when in the middle of the
ocean, nor keep donations, however generous. (* The -men ending includes
both males and females in this function.)


Wrapless Wrap?
--------------
Till now, Achaeans had found various means to specify how much they
wished their eyes to see at one time (via CONFIG PAGELENGTH and CONFIG
SCREENWIDTH), usually expressed as a value up to about 250. A new,
special way of approaching such things (at least the latter, related to
SCREENWIDTH) is now provided, which may be called "Just give it all to
me at once" or, for short, "wrapless." This may be acheived by chanting
the arcane phrase "CONFIG SCREENWIDTH 0" and then making sure that you
have prepared yourself for the wrapless onslaught!


Sourpuss Summary

- grove thorns will now terminate regularly. Some had lasted
indefinitely.
- adduction will no longer override grove roots.
- angel/demon beckon will no longer override peel/icy/gravehands/stun,
etc.
- ferry idiosyncracies fixed, so you won't be able to board while
enroute,
arrive faster than normal, etc.
- new CONFIG SCREENWIDTH 0 setting, which means most lines that you
receive
won't be wrapped, leaving it up to your client to handle wrapping.
Note that many things in Achaea are pre-wrapped to about 79 characters.
These are things that have passed through an Achaean editor, so would
include news postings, letters, and the like.
