auto-class plans

Here's the plan for how people will actually progress towards fully
gaining class. Yes, it is completely guild independent.

1. Like now, people start with no class skills.
2. By going to a particular NPC, a player will be able to become a
fledgling in a class. This will get him 2 class skills, both of which
may be learned no higher than Skilled.
3. Upon reaching level 20 AND 20 hours of playing time, a player will be
able to learn those 2 skills as high as Fabled.
4. Upon reaching level 40, a player will have the option of fully
embracing a class, which will remove the learning limits and grant him
the third class skill.

If you quit a class before fully embracing the class, you'll get
approximately 100% of the lessons in those class skills back. Once you
embrace the class though, you only get 50% back.

How does this work if you're switching class and are already, say, level
60 with lots of playing time? You'll start out at level 3 (so with 2
class skills that you can learn up to Fabled) and have the option of
embracing the class at any time.

As there's not any real reason to have novice, apprentice, and full
guild member anymore, we're going to remove novice and just call that
'apprentice'. Apprentices will be limited to GNT (to be renamed to GAT)
until promoted by the guild. Guild probation will remain an option for
guild leaders to use.

Penned by my hand on the 7th of Daedalan, in the year 391 AF.
