Wahoo! I just wanted to say thank you so much to everybody that's helped
Achaea get this far...the players, the Gods, the Guides, the Admins,
everybody! When we opened in year 172 I thought we'd be doing really
well to hit 100 players online. Today we broke SIX HUNDRED AND SEVENTY
FIVE (675)!!! There were fireworks, and everyone online got 50 lessons
and 10 credits. Then, I dropped a few dozen giftbags about the land and
buried them. People found everything from bombs and firecrackers to
eagle's wings inside. And remember that there will be other giftbag
drops here and there throughout year 350. We'll annnounce when we are
dropping them, don't worry.

Now, this is just the first part of year 350 as you know.
www.achaea.com/year350.htm has the schedule. The next official event is
tomorrow at 5 pm GMT (that's 9 am on US West Coast, noon on US East
Coast). We'll have the lottery drawing for the sword Glamdring and then
one hour later, at 6 pm GMT, the tumbling races start. 3 hours after
that, the 2 vs. 2 combat tournament begins.

The combat tournament is going to be quite hectic probably. We're going
to be commandeering all the Arenas for it. Because of the number of
expected participants, both you and your partner -must- be here at the
beginning of the tournament (when everyone can sign up) and when it's
your time to fight. If you're not, your team will be disqualified. We
can't have people being late and delaying everyone else.

Finally, remember that everyone who gets at least 1 point in any of the
individual year 350 events will get a small prize of some sort so even
if you have no real chance of winning the overall competition it
behooves you to try to compete in each event.
