houses outside subdivisions

Unfortunately, when I announced that we were selling houses outside
subdivisions I don't think I had given it enough thought. So for now,
I'm going to have to rescind that announcement. I apologize to those of
you who have already contacted me asking to purchase a plot.
The problem is this: There's a fundamentally limited amount of
"desirable" real estate outside a city. My major concern is ending up
with a situation whereby lots and lots of the most popular areas in the
game (around North of Thera, in the forests, close to the highways, in
villages, etc) will have houses on them until, maybe a couple real-life
years down the road, you won't be able to walk around without frequently
seeing the 'in' exits leading to houses. It just strikes me that this is
going to make the wilderness areas feel very un-wild. Just selling in
villages presents its own problems, as villages have even more limited
real estate than the wilderness areas do.
So, for right now, I am sorry but we're not going to be selling houses
outside subdivisions until I figure out what method I'd like to employ
to ensure there aren't problems down the road.
Penned by my hand on the 18th of Aeguary, in the year 338 AF.
