We realize this will not be a popular decision, but the cost for picking
up approved clothing patterns has been raised, by more than a factor of
5. The reason is simply that patterns were so cheap people would submit
patterns that were only going to be used by one person. That's fine, but
the intention of the system is that you design and sell clothes good
enough that multiple people will buy copies. If you want unique
clothing, ie one copy made from a pattern, it should, we feel, be pretty
expensive.
