First Annual BDSM Writing Contest
Written by: Magi Mulkerrin, le mage sans might
Date: Monday, May 7th, 2001
Addressed to: Everyone
They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The mix of
perceptions and thoughts and emotions evoked within the observer.
So in order to see the beauty that someone else perceives, you
must first find a way to share their perspective. Writing is one
tool that allows us to do so. Clan BDSM would like you to share
your perceptions of beauty with us. To that end we are sponsoring
our own contest. Send us any form of writing that expresses
beauty. This may be a description of a loved one, the fading
warmth of a sunset, a poem to commemorate some perfect moment, or
even the hushed tableau before you behead your hated opponent.
Any and all expressions of things that you find to be beautiful.
Prizes are as follows:
1st place: 12 credits
2nd place: 8 credits
3rd place: 5 credits
Merit: 1000 gold.
(the number of merit awards will be based upon the number of
entries received)
Send your entries by mail, using a freshly requested letter to
Mulkerrin, along with a 500 gold entry fee. Contest ends on
midnight GMT May 14. Winners to be announced really, really
quickly thereafter so that winning entries may be preserved
before the letters decay. This contest is sponsored solely by
clan BDSM and is not officially recognized by the Fellowship
of Scarlatti.
Penned by my hand on the 3rd of Valnuary, in the year 276 AF.
