THe birds are valuable in helping you find a golden thread, or a lost ring. They like pretty things, and are beautiful in themselves. Why would you possibly want to kill a bird? Especially on e that gives you valuable things? If you had a goose that laid golden eggs, would you kill it so that you could snatch the one inside, or would you wait and let it lay more? Killing the birds only wastes your time, and for the greedy, makes it more difficult to gain your precious items. If you kill them all, you'll have nothing. I'm surprised they can populate fast enough to keep themselves from going extinct the way you people kill them. It is a sick person that would kill something so beautiful.
