Ashtan

Yesterday marked one of the worst days in my Achaean life. Napoloen,
a long time friend and companion, kicked me out of the city without
even talking to me beforehand. I had been a loyal member of Ashtan
my entire life. I even refused to join Hashan when I became GM of
the Kharon, because I loved Ashtan so much. I did a great job as Archon,
and as Minister of Security, but that does not seem to matter. A new
"agreement" popped up overnight, in which Ashtan has agreed not to
harbor fugitives of Hashan. This, no doubt, was meant for me and me
only. Napoloen has assured me that this has been in the works for a
while, but I do not believe that it is mere coincidence that the
law was enacted, and I was thrown out not minutes later. How Napoloen
could get up the nerve to throw me out of my position after I've committed
so much time and effort into Ashtan, is beyond my comprehension. Napoloen
has done a great disservice to Ashtan by throwing me out, and I feel
betrayed. I hope to eventually return to Ashtan someday so I can
return to my leadership responsibilities, but for now, farewell Ashtan,
I will miss you dearly.

Penned by my hand on the 15th of Phaestian, in the year 259 AF.
