I have had many requests for the further thoughts on the Seven Laws of Sartan. I will continue my discourses but please bear in mind that I have not confirmed these thoughts with Mighty Lord Sartan, but rather these are the humble beliefs of a wandering soul.
The 4th law of Sartan ------------
'The enemies of strength are those who trumpet the effeminate values of forgiveness, tolerance and laxity of discipline'
I will detail these 3 weakness and why I believe that they are a strong sign of such. But first let me tell you a small story to assist in bringing my thoughts to life.
'A small beggar boy steals food from a city shop. As the boy begins his escape, the shop owner sees him and calls for help. The boy escapes and makes his way through the cities corridors only to be caught later by city guardsmen. The men return the boy to the shop. The scrawny thief pleads for mercy to the shop owner, who grants it. The city guardsmen, feeling the situation has been rectified, decide to leave.'
FORGIVNESS - This is most likely one of the largest sins imaginable. Forgiveness shows that one has mercy, love, kindness and many other dark signs of weakness. With this in mind, how can forgiveness bring about anything other then more weakness? It simply brings to pass more of the foolish traits of a 'good' soul.
In my story above who has committed the greater sin? The thief or the shop owner! Obviously it is the shop owner. By not having the child hanged he has released a criminal into the streets to steal again -and- he has begun a chain reaction of forgiveness. From the shop owners example this boy may 'do unto another as has been done unto him'! Now it is not the child, but the shop owner who needs be strung up in the gallows.
TOLERANCE - I believe that a follower of Sartan must have no tolerance for the weak or to those showing signs of weakness. They must either be slain or made to endure great suffering and pain to bring to pass their strengthening of body and soul. Keep in mind Sartans 2nd Law 'Cruelty - the application of pain - is the method by which one weeds out the weak and feeble-minded from the population.'
Again from the story above the guardsmen and the shop owner are at fault of the sin of Tolerance. The guards did not kill the wretched boy on sight and the shop owner gave him freedom. They have shown tolerance of obvious crimes. This boy will with no doubt plague his city for his entire lifetime. If not as a thief then as one of the poor or beggars whom defile our cities like vermin.
LAXITY OF DISCIPLINE - Disciple is order. Sartans Kingdom will not tolerate any lack of Order and discipline. Laws are in place and should be strictly enforced. People should never be allowed breaking of it of bending it to fit their needs.
Obviously the guards in the story have no sense of disciple, honor, or order. Their type will allow a city to run rampant with destruction and sin. These guards should have either killed the child on sight -or- upon returning the child and witnessing the disgusting display of mercy slain both the child and the shop owner.
---------------
These three 'Enemies of Strength' should be destroyed at all cost. Never should forgiveness, tolerance, nor laxity of discipline be allowed. One can see how this ties in with my previous post 3572. One who allows feelings and mental weakness to enter ones soul, becomes very prone to being drawn into these three deadly sins. I call unto all of you to throw down these traitorous acts and free your mind from them.
Only then can we forge a better world for all of us.
