Update on Excommunication Guidelines

For those who are not already aware, Targossas, as paragons of a oodatoday offered the lives of all in Cyrene and all in Hashan to the Grimoire. Evidently as an attempt to make it go away.

That would be many more deaths than have already occurred. Also, from what we have seen, some denizens taken into the tome do not return.

Here is a short list of those who were killed today:
Takanae, a dishevelled young boy
Cosmina, the Saint
An elderly woman
Fantine, a pretty young girl.

Two of those listed are Cyrene citizens.

Just a small sample of the innocents Targossas killed and would have killed with this ritual they enacted today.

As a reminder to the Deacon of their church, he himself updated the guidelines on cutting off Priests and Paladins from their powers:

Public Post: 21789

** BE WARNED: if a Priest strays from the path of the Bloodsworn Gods, they will find themselves excommunicated and lose the ability to use Devotion.
** Be warned that if a Paladin turns against the city of Targossas and the Bloodsworn Divine, they can be excommunicated and lose the ability to use Excision.

Note that oathbreaking, raiding, assault, and murder of innocents (as defined by the laws of Targossas) are all enemyable and excommunicable
offences. This notice replaces any prior understanding or policy that may have been communicated. Furthermore, ignorance of these principles will not suffice as an excuse for violating them.

As one in His City has already said, this sounded like a ritual we would have held for the Master. I look forward to seeing the consequences of your actions, and should there be none, I look forward to seeing you reveal your true selves to the world and your God.
