Cyrene, the puddle in the mountains

I'll attempt to respond to multiple posts with one, to save us all some time.

Stefana - Assuming that was a thing that happened, since I don't remember it at all, I'd rather be a little confused about my seasons any day than have no idea who I am outside of how I feel about someone else. Since your response only addresses me and not Cyrene, I will assume that you agree that Cyrene has no relevance at all outside of their feelings towards Hashan and Targossas.

Kresslack - Anger, hatred, even adoration and respect. It really doesn't matter because you are still defining Cyrene by how you feel about us. Without your anger, Cyrene is nothing. You speak of Cyrene entering the world with determination and resolve, but you didn't. You hide behind your walls shouting 'stay away, we don't like you'. You say that the water in your streets churns and froths, but it doesn't. It settled. You know what water is when it settles? A puddle. Cyrene is not a raging river, it's a puddle, because as a city it hasn't progressed at all since the day you retook your streets. You had a shining moment of greatness, and then you became a puddle. Even if you managed to rally together and fight against us, you would still only be acting out of your anger for us. Once the battle was over, even if you managed to win, you would have nothing left but your anger. For goodness sakes, get your act together, work together as a city, and figure out who you are. The rest of us are tired of your childishness.

Venmara - I admire your courage to speak up, even though it's outside your comfort level and might upset those you are close to. If Cyrene had more people like you I would have been proven wrong already.
