Understanding yet ....

Once upon a time I was told I needed to make a public
post. It was a difficult one to make as I had to post
the version of a tale from those requiring the post. I
will not rehash all that now, but suffice it to say,
while my feelings or remorse and desire were sincere,
my recitation was not an accurate depiction of the
actual events or motivations.
I wonder if perhaps your words are much the same.
That you'd do it all again, for reasons you find just,
and sincerely believed were just?
Frankly, I understand your motivations at the time. I
find your thirst for knowledge, for a solution, less
the crime than that you took it upon yourself to act
outside the scope of your authority and in violation
of the then, and continuing I should add, City policies.
I understand you wish to resolve your enemy status
with Cyrene.
I understand you wish to return to Cyrene as a citizen.
I also understand that people who had yet to reach
these lands are not allowed to visit Cyrene merely
because their cities were once aligned with the
Tsol'teth. This even with one City which has long
since discarded that alliance, and those who were part
of pushing that alliance no longer live within its
walls.
I am very much about bygones being bygones, and
forgiveness.
But you, who did active harm, who actively violated
the law, knowingly and with forethought, should not be
welcomed back with open arms, or even officially
forgiven, until such time as we normalize relations
with those who are without fault.
I like you. I think you are a decent sort.
But the above is my stance nonetheless.
Simply,
Prythe
